Blizzard Entertainment, long opposed to the exchange of real currency for in-game items, has added World of Warcraft mini-pets to their online store for $10 a piece.

A mini-pet in World of Warcraft, for those who don’t play the game, is essentially a cute little companion. These non-combat pets offer no practical advantage to the user; they simply follow the player for vanity’s sake. However, now that Blizzard has established that they’re willing to take your money for a useless in-game pet, who knows where they might end up going with this?

Careful, Blizzard. Your zero-tolerance policy on gold sellers is now on awfully shaky ground.

I had quite a little crowd in Tarren Mill

For the last few weeks three of us (namely NiGHTS, TiberiusLazarus, and myself) have been having a good old time goofing off in Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad. We all three act like hawkers trying to sell Delicious Snapvine Watermelons for whatever we can get for them. I’ve gotten anywhere from 1 to 5gp for a single melon just by putting on a little comedy show and making people laugh.

Therefore, I think it is in order for us to organize a major guild event—going into Tarren Mill for an hour or so and really working the Snapvine Watermelon market. It would be hilarious and fun.

Kethark

We did it with TF2. We did it with Left4Dead, we did it with WaR, and now we’re doing it with WoW.

Pigflipper, primesuspect, MasterbuilderK, and MiracleManS are starting an Icrontic guild on Tortheldrin (PvP). We are all low level right now (under 25) so we’re just getting started. Roll a new character on Tortheldrin (For the Horde!) and join us!

You may remember my 10 day trial blog. My trial experience sold me, and I started on Christmas Day so that I could play with my kids. Pigflipper decided that he wanted to play again, and rolled with me.

Of course, we need at least 10 people to sign the guild charter. I’m pretty sure we won’t have any trouble finding 10 Icrontians who want to start up a new character (or transfer an existing one).

GamingAngels has the word that a French World of Warcraft player named Nymh from the European server Drek’thar has officially reached level 80.
