In yet another new game mechanic, Valve is releasing a “haunted” King of the Hill map for the weekend and other goodies for the Terrifying Team Fortress 2 Hallowe’en Special.
From October 29th to November 2nd, there will be the KOTH Harvest map available, with special holiday achievements, exploding pumpkins, and the ghost of Zepheniah Mann…

Either someone got their hands on some insider info, or this is an amazing fake reveal of the first Engineer update.
Called “project 25″, or “The Mothership”, it’s basically a Dispenser taped to a blimp. While not releasing as much health and metal as a dispenser, it is mobile, and can be controlled by the Engie.
Be careful, [...]

Icrontian Quady the Turnip saw an opportunity; something that had never been done before. Like any good Icrontian, he moved when he was inspired.
When Valve posted a blog entry and a fake letter with the rubber stamped “This just got signed by SAXTON HALE”, Quady was moved; When a Reddit member offered $50 to the [...]

The Team Fortress 2 dev team has been known to play mind games with their fans before, so you’re going to have to come up with your own interpretation of the following:
The latest entry on the Official TF2 blog hints at a “guard dog” update. Clicking through leads to a mysterious site on a non-Valve [...]

Today an astute TF2 fan happened to catch a slip-up on his phone’s RSS reader, and quickly grabbed a screenshot before Valve took the post back down. Seeing as how much we love you here at Icrontic, I took the liberty to turn it into text and OCR it so that it would be easier [...]

Today at E3, we got to play an entire campaign in Left 4 Dead 2, the sequel to Valve’s recent new hit Left 4 Dead.
“A sequel?” you ask. “A mere six months after Left 4 Dead? What happened to Valve time?” you may wonder. And you wouldn’t be remiss. These were very popular questions in [...]

The ever-entertaining TF2 blog has been updated with a bit more info on the sniper update. Looks like the sniper will be getting a new gun with a shorter range as an unlockable!
In an effort to reduce some of the aggravation that other players feel towards the Sniper, we chose the goal of designing an [...]

Update number three was announced today, bringing news of the second of the Scout’s new weapons to rabid TF2 fans everywhere. Much like the Heavy’s “Sandvich”, the “BONK” Energy Drink is a consumable. After you use it, you are double fast—for a few moments. After the sugar rush wears off, you are lethargic and vulnerable [...]

BONK!
We’ll be updating you throughout the week as the TF2 Scout Updates are announced.
The first announcement is a new melee weapon—The Sandman. This is a bat which fires a ball. The ball stuns enemies; even enemies that are ubercharged…
After they are stunned you can run up and smack ‘em around, but while the Sandman is [...]

Any given night on a TF2 server, one often hears the lament “DAMMIT! ANOTHER lucky crit!” It seemed like soldiers in particular were constantly getting critical hits (read: one shot kills) on their opponents. The end effect was a lot of bitching and moaning about overpowered soldiers, too many crits, and even cries of “HAXX!”
The [...]

Nothing has brought the Icrontic community closer together than Team Fortress 2 in the last year. Seriously, if you don’t own this game yet, you are missing out on one hell of a great time.
For $10 this is an ASTOUNDING value, because Valve keeps adding content for free. Just yesterday, they released some upgrades for [...]

Oh my, that was unexpected. Suddenly the TF2 official blog is updated, and I noticed my Steam update icon working just now, and found an update for TF2 downloading.
I tracked down the update notes and found, to my delight, some very special info. Major updates to Engie and a major nerf to Demoman:
The Engineer’s teleporters [...]
