Wasabi coming to America

wsb0118_2No, not the ground up green horseradish paste. That’s already here.

Gametech, based in Japan, are bringing their brand of Japanese-styled peripherals to America starting with a showing at E3 next week.

Normally, I don’t give a second glance as these emails from these small companies come in (and trust me, dear readers, we get inundated with them), but something about Wasabi caught my eye enough to go look at their catalog. I was pleasantly surprised; I would buy some of these things because they just look too cool.

They are offering covers and skins for DS Lite, DSi, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, iPod nano, iPhone, and PS3. All of their covers are so… so… Japanese. I definitely want to snag one for my PSP if I can; some of them look so bad ass. I’ll try to snag some samples at E3 to give away at the Expo Icrontic if I can.

I know. Do want for my xbox 360: http://www.my-wasabi.com/img/wsb0034_1.jpg

Also, each product page has a free wallpaper to go with it. Awesome perk.

    We can't stop here...

I dunno about the 360 covers. The exposed areas kind of break up the effect. I'd like to see how the PSP wallpaper integrates into the skin. That's a nice bonus.

If I had a PS2 slim I'd totally get a cover for it; those look great across the top of them. My PS2 phat is still limping toward the horizon, though.

Hey, be nice. Icrontic is full of good people, we promise.
