Futuremark Game Studios has today released new screenshots for the Shattered Horizon “Moonrise” DLC.

Once again set in near-earth space, players must aid the Moon Mining Cooperative or the International Space Agency in the fight to control the precious resources of the Arc, the constellation of debris ejected from the moon after a catastrophic explosion.

The four levels of Moonrise take the fight deeper into the debris, and today’s screenshots show several interesting scenarios: an MMC cargo ship lured into a trap by the ISA, a huge mass driver installation, the broken remains of a luxury lunar hotel and fragments of what was a massive communications dish on the Moon.

Although a release date for the Moonrise pack has not yet been announced, Futuremark Games Studio confirmed that a small group of selected players is helping them test near-final content.

I wish my computer could run this properly. Seems I should be building a new machine this summer...

That looks great! I'll be looking forward to it.

By the way, when's our next practice?

The small group is going to be Acronauts/BETA people, they have been testing it for awhile now.

There is a practice tonight 9pm central.

Looks like new computer building might be happening sooner than summer... went home for lunch after this comment to find a flashing amber light on my desktop. Flashing amber light FTL.

Indeed! Though it ends up a component on my GPU fried. I find it ironic that this is on the same day that the GPU company (XFX) sent out their promotional emails. I'll have to suffer through at least until after taxes. But soon... soon I'll have a computer that can run Shattered Horizon at a framerate of > 10.

Might want to contact XFX's support Timu-chan, most of their cards have double-lifetime warranties.

Thank you ardi, I'll look into that! ^___^
