Koei’s next installment in the Dynasty Warriors games is called Strikeforce, and it’s looking really damned cool. A new trailer was released today at the Tokyo Game Show:

In addition, a cool tie-in was announced: On the PS3 version, characters from Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 will be making a guest appearance while on the 360 version, the guest appearances will be from Warriors Orochi 2. If you complete quests from the guest characters, you can unlock that character’s signature weapon for your own use in Strikeforce. It’s an interesting trend to see characters from one IP show up in another, but it really adds a cool twist to the game.

As a final cross-IP nod, select Dynasty Warriors costumes will appear in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. It’s all so very… Japanese.
