Final Fantasy XIII trailer from TGS

I feel bad for you, Jokerz4fun, I really do, but this is something I have to do. I’m sorry man.

Straight out of Tokyo Game Show is a wonderful seven minute trailer showcasing Square’s upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. It contains exactly what you would expect from a FF trailer: drop-dead gorgeous cinema sequences and visuals, tried and true combat system, J-pop theme music, and crazy sword and gun fights. It shows some special attacks, summons, and lots of big plot points.

I can’t wait for Final Fantasy XIII. I love the series, but I have always preferred the games that had a sci-fi feel to them, like VII and VIII. Final Fantasy XIII looks to continue in this direction while bringing the visuals to an all time high.

Originally thought to be a PS3 exclusive, it was revealed at E3 2008 that FFXIII would be a cross-platform release.

At first I thought the title said Final Fantasy VIII trailer. I was about to point out that you're just a little late on that one. Then I read it again. XIII is looking pretty good, I see they are going back to turn based combat, not sure how I feel about that. Sure it's the standard for the genre but I kind of liked the real time combat in XII, even though I never finished the game. I agree with you on liking VII and VIII's feel, to me those were the peak of the series (though most people seem to rag on VIII quite a bit).

VII was the pinnacle VIII rode on the coat tails of VII IX wasn't anything special X is considered just shy of VII by many XII brought something new but was forgettable. By and far though I consider IV to be the best. II if you follow the American numbering rather than the original Japanese numbering.

Man I hated IX, I got to about disc 3 and then just completely lost interest. Never played it again. X was okay but I don't think it was anywhere near as good as VII or VIII. I still haven't beaten XII, I should do that.

Hey, be nice. Icrontic is full of good people, we promise.
