Duke Nukem Forever canned?

Say it ain’t so! After 12 years of development — which may or may not have outlived humanity — it seems 3D Realms is shuttering, and Duke Nukem Forever is going with it.

   My friends had this saying, "that'll happen about the same time as when Duke Nukem Forever comes out". It's more fun and geeky to say than "when pigs fly". But I'm really sad that it actually came true... sad face... of sadness.

   The last trailer I saw about a year ago looked about as pollished as a N64 game, that was a good indicator to me that this game was never going to see the light of day.

   Duke had his run, its done, sincerlely I think 3D gaming has evolved way past this type of game. I am nostalgic like most, but honestly, it was not gong to make a AAA title.

   Let it finaly rest.

   Apparently you never saw the latest trailers. It easily looked better than Doom 3.

   What I saw was about a year ago, N64 might be pushing it, but it definitely was not in the area of Doom 3.

   Sometimes I wonder if its just an inside joke, toss out another nugget about it, see how dedicated the fanboys are.

   The last teaser was viewable in HD and was what you'd expect from a modern FPS. Probably not the one you saw, but earlier teasers did look crappy compared to the latest one. Of the few split seconds of "gameplay" footage, it safe to compare to a Doom 3 enviroment. That was back in late 2007.
