This year’s holiday season is a weird one for video game releases. Usually, the releases drop off sharply after Turkey Day, then pick up a couple weeks before holiday gift-giving time. Strangely, there simply hasn’t been a pick-up this year.
The only game on the list below even worth mentioning is Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, and it’s really only worth telling you that it’s essentially a Professor Layton game made by someone else. It features similar plot, puzzles, and visual style to the famous series, and the creators have even said that they’ve been inspired by the Professor. So, while it’s not made by Level 5, it might be worth it to check out if you’re a particular fan of the Professor Layton series.
